Safe alternative to Discord for screen sharing and livestreaming

Today I needed to do a screen share for someone in my clan, but it didn’t work. I mean: on my PC everything works, I can share my screen normally, when I preview it I can see it’s being transmitted just fine, but on the screen of the person I’m sharing to, nothing happens.

I live in Europe and he lives in Brazil. I just saw that Discord no longer has the rights to stream screen and live over there. But can’t you even see the screen of someone who’s streaming from a country where it’s still allowed?

What solutions are left for people who need to stream? I saw that it’s possible here on the Gamer Nation forum, using voice chat. The problem is that not everyone has an account here or knows how to use it.

I also saw that you can use a VPN. But then there’s another problem: you have to pay a monthly fee, and neither I nor the other person can afford to be paying every month just to have access to a feature that has always been free. And we’re also afraid that this might be prohibited by some law or something like that. So we’d rather not try it.

I also saw that there are some Discord clones you can use, but it’s scary to hand over my information to people or companies we don’t even know.

What’s left as a solution? Streaming on Twitch isn’t the best solution because we still need to talk by voice at the same time.

Maybe it’s better to just learn how to use this forum?

Yeah, in Brazil this feature was disabled after a case involving a teenage girl. Discord itself even published a statement about it here. As for the available options, I don’t really know them well because I never needed to share my screen until now and I only use Discord itself, but it’s true that you can do it right here on the forum too. They haven’t blocked it so far.

Yeah, here on the forum itself there’s a voice chat option with screen sharing, video calls, etc. Unlike Discord, it actually works and isn’t blocked. If I’m not mistaken, that option was only blocked in Brazil; in all other countries it works fine.

Join a voice room in the panel on the left and, by clicking on your user, you’ll see a screen sharing option, just like it used to be on Discord. And you can use it through the app too.
