I think I’ve been hosting multiple game servers for many years now. I have Minecraft, SAMP, FiveM and CS 1.6 servers. From the beginning, all my servers have always run on Ubuntu. But I’ve always noticed a huge increase in Windows servers, where people still connect through platforms like TeamViewer, with a graphical interface where there aren’t any commands.
I’m not here to say Linux is better in that regard, but it’s so much easier. Linux only runs what you need, improving performance. The commands are easy.
