I’m starting to pick the parts for my future gaming PC, and I was taking a look at the power supplies available on the market. I noticed that they have some labels on the box — for example, I found one on AliExpress that said “80 Plus Bronze”. But what exactly does that mean? Is it like a rating? Maximum wattage? And if it doesn’t have that label on the box, does it mean the PSU isn’t good? And what’s the difference between Bronze and Gold? And don’t come saying that “gold” is gold.
If someone could explain what I should take into account, besides the certifications, when buying a power supply, I’d really appreciate it.
