I’ve seen a lot of people having trouble passing WL in certain cities, whether they’re beginners or have been playing for a long time already.
So I, a former player of cities like Hype Roleplay, Cidade Alta Valley and the original Bahamas, am going to give you some tips so you won’t fail anymore.
What is WL in FiveM?
The WL process is the first step to being able to join most of the big FiveM cities. In it, the city owner wants to be sure that you’re not just another person who’s going to join to mess up the organization and commit anti-roleplay. But that’s only the first stage. After that there’s still the voice interview.
How long does it take until I get WL
Keep in mind that this process has become more time‑consuming and bureaucratic. In Hype Roleplay, you need to wait at least 1 month for your WL to be approved (or rejected). If you want to play in a city faster, I recommend choosing a city that’s not as big as the ones mentioned above, or one without WL or with automatic WL. But the gameplay experience won’t be the same.
The beginning of the WL process
Now that you’ve chosen your city with your favorite theme, you need to study its rules. Certain cities have specific times when you’re allowed or not allowed to do something. So grab a little notebook and start taking notes.
Another important thing to know is what you can or cannot do with people who work in the legal area, such as doctors, police officers, mechanics, etc.
If you’re a beginner, remember to read the basic RP rules, such as: what is meta‑gaming, dark RP, anti‑RP, etc. Also study the scenarios, because the interviewer will definitely try to confuse you. Pay close attention.
It’s also very important that you’ve created a good backstory for your character, of at least 15 lines.
Conclusion
Passing WL is not hard at all, even in big cities where the required RP level is higher. Be as clear as possible in your interview and answer as if it were real life, being as obvious as possible. If you’ve studied the rules well, you’ll be able to pass WL in servers like Hype Roleplay, Cidade Alta, Complexo, etc.
