Is it more worth it to buy a prebuilt gaming PC or is it better to build it myself?

I’ve never built a PC from scratch. But I’ve always swapped things out when they break: motherboard, processor, graphics card and basic maintenance.

Anyway, I was checking some prices and found some pretty affordable prebuilt gamer PC configurations from the brand Mancer.

I asked a few friends who know their stuff and all of them, without exception, told me I’d save more money if I build the PC myself. But I’m a bit worried about buying incompatible parts, not knowing how to do the cable management and so on.

What do you recommend? I saw that Mancer also sells hardware separately.

On Twitch and YouTube, streamers post their configs, or you can copy the parts from prebuilt PC gamer sites.

I don’t see a problem buying a mouse, gamer chair, or case from Mancer.

But SSD, power supply, and motherboard are a bit doubtful in terms of durability — you might get lucky or not.

Mancer is a Pichau brand.

As far as I know, they buy from Chinese suppliers and just put their logo on top.

It’s almost the same as buying some random brand on AliExpress.

I’d recommend buying from brands that offer a longer warranty.
