I’ve noticed that gamers are kind of a lonely bunch, right? Very introverted. They never go out, they avoid socializing as much as possible…
Well, I was like that too some time ago, and that changed when I discovered a gamer bar. I don’t know if everyone understands the concept or if they exist in every city in Brazil, but basically it’s just a bar with several gaming PCs and consoles available, with screens on the wall linked to various famous streamers…
It was in one of these bars, actually, that I learned to play WoW. It’s a lot more fun to play with people watching you and often guiding you as well.
So, I don’t know, I know it’s complicated to just show up and tell people to go out, thinking that it’s going to make something better… but in my case it worked, and I’m grateful for having gone out that time to this day. I met my best friends there, actually.
Gamer bars are like LAN houses lol I like that they brought that back and added drinks instead of letting us go hungry and thirsty playing Mu Online for 10 hours straight.
basically they really are the new LAN houses. I even miss doing all‑nighters for 7.50, playing CS 1.6 in LAN mode and playing Giga Mu with my MG with a Hurricane set +15 full excellent from Runeblade in the Arena and my Doritos and Coke on the side
Man, overnight sessions were fucking awesome, I’d get there in the morning and leave at dawn. One of the best investments I ever made in my life was bankrupting my family on LAN.
