The other day I was looking at some ads on OLX and saw a bunch of people selling Counter-Strike stuff for more than 2K. Charging that much for a knife. Is it for real that there are actually people who buy this? What does it bring as an in-game benefit? Isn’t it just a skin?

This is real. If you get into gacha mobile games, like those “strategy” ones, you’ll see things get way, way worse. People burn through tons of money just to get access to “resources” that can disappear at any moment.
