this year is going to be the year of open-world games, for those who like them

Open-world games are the only ones I genuinely have fun with, because it’s a type of game where you don’t have to keep following scripts like a robot. Following missions, doing everything the screen tells you to, etc.

In open-world games, when you get tired of doing the main objectives, you can simply stop and GO INTO THE WORLD. Visit landscapes, discover the game’s hidden secrets, see new cities, and so on. And that’s why my most anticipated open-world games for 2026 are:

  1. GTA 6
  2. Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic
  3. Assassin’s Creed Hexe
  4. Marvel’s Wolverine
  5. Forza Horizon 6 (of course)
