The end of another forum. Bye pandlr

This time it was pandlr.

When people say you can’t have forums in Brazil anymore, that they have to be abroad or 100% anonymous or at least with good moderation or good word filters…

There’s really nowhere left to run

It’s over for the Brazilian internet for anyone who still hasn’t understood.

that’s what happens when you keep saying what you shouldn’t, thinking there won’t be consequences.

It was about time; it is indeed possible to have a forum in Brazil, but that cancerous cesspit was just pure filth.

HOLY SHIT, THIS IS CRIMINAL: https://www.jusbrasil.com.br/processos/712538639/processo-n-500XXXX-7420244036181-do-trf3

sad ending
soon we’ll have to go to deep web forums so we can talk freely

Or go to a place where Brazilian laws don’t apply

Or, as a last last resort, Reddit. But I’m never going there. I’d rather send smoke signals

I have an instance that covers general topics, but since I needed to focus on one theme to be featured on Discourse Discover, I focused on Rants and Tales.

I’ve already moderated several very large subreddits with @anjinheiro on that trash site and I quit all of them except r/pr. I want Reddit to f*ck off; I go there once in a blue moon just to see how things are.

I studied like a motherf*cker different ways to build communities, and Discourse proved superior in terms of customization and technology, besides being open source.

I also have some subs about games but I never go in. My biggest one has 9k… I never really understood how to fit in there. They say Reddit is the more modern replacement for forums, but I still find it very complicated.

I tried to fit in too, but most of the moderators and users there have some ego issues and traits of a “small power” syndrome. The only one that is somewhat more chill is r/pr, but I cut my Reddit usage by 80%, only lurking to see some niche news.
