What we feared most is going to happen: ads in games

You know that annoying moment when you’re there, totally focused on a video and out of nowhere that stupid ad pops up that has nothing to do with what you’re watching? Or worse, you’re already fed up with those ads, so you go and pay for the platform’s premium thinking you’ll finally be free of them, but then you find out the creator went and did something even worse: they bake the ad right into the video script, making it impossible for you to skip.

Well, games are about to get something similar, because recently a patent was filed that includes ads inside your matches. The system is designed to detect when you’ve just cleared a level, and from there it triggers the ad.

But hold on. This will only happen in the more expensive plan. If you pay enough, you’ll still be able to play normally, without ads.

Progress is depressing.
