There isn’t much information about overclocking on the internet. I see a lot of people complaining that their graphics card burned out after the procedure. But is it really that risky? If it is, why do so many people do it? And what would be the performance gain on an RTX 5090, for example? Have you ever overclocked?

If yes, comment on how you did it and whether it works? I know that in my city there’s a repair shop that does it and they’re well known. There’s even a warranty, but they charge 500 reais. Is that price reasonable? Isn’t it possible to do this at home by yourself using a program? Can’t you do it with MSI Afterburner?
