You started with a small blue dinosaur and the goal was to destroy the statues to earn eggs, which could result in new dragons and dinosaurs. Each new dragon or dinosaur had a different-colored power orb, but no distinct abilities. As it evolved, the dinosaur changed form.
I also remember there was a system of potions and plants, one normal and one golden. The story involved rescuing dragon friends who had been kidnapped. The game’s style was very simple, with more basic graphics and a focus on evolution and collecting dragons.
