They announced another gaming event this year. After the Summer Game Fest that took place in June, now it’s Gamescom’s turn, from 2024-08-20T18:00:00Z→2024-08-24T03:00:00Z.
What is Gamescom?
Gamescom (not to be confused with Gamescom LATAM) is an event that has been held every year since 2009, and it always takes place in the same location: in Germany, in Cologne (Köln).
There you’ll find everything related to games and then some: cosplays, game rooms, shops to buy your favorite gamer merchandise, etc. But the main focus of this event is the release announcements and trailers from the biggest game companies in the world.
What will be announced?
They’ll probably announce games such as: Star Wars Outlaw, Civilization 7, Monster Hunter Wilds, Indiana Jones and maybe Ace Combat.
Who will be there?
The event will feature major companies such as: Ubisoft, Blizzard, CD Projekt Red (the Cyberpunk 207 one, remember?), Microsoft/Xbox, Electronic Arts, SEGA, Capcom, Bethesda, Bandai Namco, Amazon, AMD, Square Enix, Sony Europe, Sony Deutschland and many others. Only Nintendo won’t be there.

Well, Gamescom will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube. Or directly through the GameAwards channel on YouTube or Twitch.
