I still get really nostalgic, but truth be told, I still think MSN is way better than Discord, and in a lot of ways. It was easier to chat, more fun. The sound was epic. The nudge button was amazing. Another really great thing was MSN Plus, which made your name colorful and showed the song you were listening to on Winamp. It was so good. It’s a real shame it ended. I still have such good memories.
To this day I still get birthday reminder emails for friends from there. Some of them aren’t even with us anymore.

Discord has always been kinda mediocre compared to what was already out there. I just think it filled a niche by branding itself as “gamer”, something TeamSpeak couldn’t manage because it stayed exclusively focused on voice communication (VOIP).
There’s Nerimity, which is new and trying to beat Discord — let’s see if people start using it.
Man, I’d never even heard of that one. But let’s go, right? The more alternatives, the better.
