Capcom will hold Capcom Spotlight on Thursday, March 5, a live event showcasing previews of its upcoming releases. Mega Man: Dual Override is among the confirmed titles, and the presence of the next entry in the franchise may indicate news about the company’s plans.
In general, the company does not usually show much of its games before release. The most recent example is Resident Evil Requiem, a sequel revealed in June 2025 that only hit stores in February 2026.
If they decide to use the same strategy for the new Mega Man, the game could arrive in early 2027, much sooner than most fans expect. Of course, not everyone is getting their hopes up, since Dual Override’s appearance at the event may amount to just a quick update, without any major news.
In that case, the game would probably still be in the early stages of development. Capcom Spotlight takes place this Thursday at 5 p.m. (Brasília time).
