Collecting physical media games must be really cool + Resident Evil Requiem

Sometimes it seems like every game box is a work of art. In the past, designers really put a lot of care into that part. But in the digital age we live in today, I think that has been somewhat lost.

But not everything is lost yet; we still see many current games that have very beautiful artwork. A good recent example of this is Resident Evil Requiem with its holographic art:

Anyway, I really hope those times come back. In the past, it wasn’t just the game inside the box. There was a map, a letter with tips, extra photos of the characters. That was really cool. Nowadays, all you get are some random numbers and letters, which we call a KEY. And if you want anything extra, you have to pay for it. That’s how things evolve. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad.

Yeah, physical media games are a whole experience. You’re already immersed in the universe they present even before you start playing.
