I’ve been streaming for a long time, only with the most played games of the moment, the ones that get views. I’ve even tried horror game streams and nothing. I stream every single day without fail, at least 3 hours a day. But it’s always the same thing. Only me watching.
My dream was to quit my job and live off this. I invested a lot in a graphics card that can handle the game and the Twitch app and nothing.
I’ve even tried doing both at the same time: Twitch + TikTok.
Even sleep streams or people making those weird sounds get way more views than my stream.
I paid a lot to get artwork done to make everything look really nice. I promoted it in several gaming subs on Reddit, several forums like Adrenaline, and nothing works.
Does anyone have any more suggestions? I’m desperate.
Twitch is dying, those who are already established are just waiting for it to get even worse, and anyone who wants to start is better off doing it as a hobby, otherwise they’ll starve. All the contracts are the same and, because there are more ads than usual, viewers have leveled off and are gradually abandoning the platform or using rebuilt apps without ads. No one earns anything anymore except Amazon.
The only thing I haven’t tried was FB Gaming (you need a contract) and that Booyah, which is Brazilian if I’m not mistaken. But I’ve already seen a lot of people leaving Twitch because it seemed like it really wasn’t paying.
