GTA Online will no longer work on Steam Deck

Sad news for those who played on Steam’s portable console: Rockstar has just blocked the Linux operating system through its new system, BattlEye, which prevents players from gaining advantages in the game in an abnormal way.

But attention: the offline version of GTA V remains accessible in its offline mode.

GTA V is a franchise that has already made a lot of money for Rockstar. And it continues to do so now, 11 years later, with GTA Online and FiveM.

The way forward now is to wait for Rockstar to fix the incompatibility. Or play directly on PC. Or, if you prefer a handheld, it is still possible to play on the Asus ROG Ally.
