These days, is it still worth buying a gaming laptop?

If yes, which one would you recommend? From which graphics card upwards is it still acceptable to buy? I found one at a really good price, but it had a GTX 1650. Pretty old card. And it only had 8 GB of RAM. I know you can always add more memory, right. But you can’t change the graphics card. I was thinking of getting something with at least an RTX 3060. What do you think?

And about the overheating issue everyone talks about, do you think that’s already been fixed in current laptops?

Think of a laptop as a portable computer for when you need to study or work. If it’s within your budget, get a machine with a good processor and any 8 GB VRAM, which is enough to run pretty much anything. Leave laptops for basic stuff.
