AI in the forum - Updates for 05/30/2023

Heyyy,

as you can see, I’ve just implemented Claude on the forum. It will help us with some simple moderation tasks, research, and other tools such as summarizing topics, creating alt titles for images, and an automatic tagging system.

I also took advantage of my Stability API to use it here. To generate images, just tag the “Artist”, with the @, in the dedicated topic or anywhere else. Just like in the example:

And here is the summary system:

I hope you like it. The goal is to make the forum as modern as possible. If there’s anything you’d like to change, just report it.

Thx.

Any chance you could help a mere mortal who wants to eat concrete figure out if I can implement a bot like this on my instance?

Yeeeeeeeees

I was almost adding the AI helper, which leaves, like, 1 bot user in the forum that answers anything every time someone mentions it, but the search engines are really cracking down on that with AI-generated content and some people are getting penalized.

But just grab an API from Claude and one from Stability and go for it.

How do you set the limits? What server configuration is needed for the plugin to run smoothly? Are 4 cores enough?

If I were hosting the AI myself, I think it would be at least 16 GB of RAM with 4 cores. But since it’s via API, there’s nothing to worry about.

I’m not thinking about hosting it; if it works out to implement it via API, that’s good.
