Could it be that AI already has the capability to replace all jobs?

A.I. can already replace writers, painters, musicians, cinematographers and a whole bunch of other professions, and I can link each one of them here.

To make music, for example: sinon.ai and so on.

Should we be worried? A.I. evolves day after day.

The day when we won’t need to work anymore is coming fast.

I’m a developer and I’ve used GPT-4 a lot; I’m telling you we’re nowhere near that. Once you understand that these language models simply give you the answer that is statistically most likely to be correct, and that they have no real understanding of whether it’s correct or not, these tools look more like a search engine on steroids than anything else. Don’t fall for the hype. The day an AI appears that shows signs of real understanding of what it’s saying, then you can start worrying.

Good point. But we’re only at the beginning. There’s a ton of money involved in this already. Even Elon jumped in with Xai. I doubt they’re making investments just to have a dumb A.I.

Just look at what Google invested in Reddit to train Gemini as well.

However, it will be really good to have a search engine using AI, like is already the case with Search GPT. I can’t stand searching for something and ending up on a betting site anymore.

I spend my day using AI for everything. Mainly for college papers and I’ve already gotten used to it. It was a good step forward. I couldn’t go back.
