Back then, around 2015 and later, I was addicted to a puzzle-solving game. I remember that the game was about clicking around and uncovering some mysteries, in 2D. I remember there were several games with different themes, there was one about the Loch Ness monster, and one game I remember clearly was one where we were a player with black hair and a black shirt with a skull in the middle. They put him in a room with old computers, and in the opening story it shows an egg being fried on top of the computer. That’s when the puzzles started so we could get out of that room. It was my favorite game and it suddenly disappeared from the internet.
I think you might be talking about Flash “Escape the Room” games, which were super popular back then. The one with the fried egg on the old computer looks a lot like something from the Escape from… series or Cube Escape (Rusty Lake). They had lots of weird mysteries, Loch Ness–style atmospheres, and those strange puzzles. If it’s disappeared, it’s probably because most Flash games were removed after Flash support ended in 2020, but many of them are still available on sites like the Rusty Lake page or even on Steam.
