For 2 years I’ve had the dream of having my own FiveM city. I watched a lot and learned from the biggest and best FiveM servers in Brazil. I know what people want and what they don’t want on a FiveM server, and in my view, what they don’t want is:
Pay to win
Automated allowlist (with no kind of audio interview)
Servers with a lot of modifications, because they end up ruining the fun for people who have weaker PCs
What they do want:
Most things in the game should be earned in‑game. No paying to get unbanned, to have ID 1–10.
A city with a serious allowlist. With a voice interview. With specific questions about RP.
Optimizations should be minimal. Just the basics. You don’t need to change the entire GTA V map for people to have fun.
Knowing this, I started investing a lot in promotion, but it seems that even then it doesn’t work. I’m a member of several FiveM groups on Facebook, every day I post there with the link to our Discord.
I stream on TikTok (even if many times it doesn’t even reach 10 viewers)
I promote it in other communities, on Discord, Reddit. And still nothing. Cities that have just opened get way more players than I do.
I’ve already tried everything. In our city we use the original LB Phone, several well‑optimized favelas, a unique plaza, and even so our highest peak is 20 players and it doesn’t go beyond that.
What else do you recommend I do to attract more players to my city?
