Soon I’ll be migrating from a SATA SSD to an NVMe M.2 SSD. I saw that my motherboard, a TUF Gaming X570-Pro, has 2 slots for that. On one of them there’s the connector plus the spot for the screw, and on the other it’s the same thing, but with a heatsink that came with the board. And when I was checking stores, I saw that most SSDs actually come without a heatsink. Very few models include one. So I wanted to know if a heatsink is important for an NVMe M.2. If it doesn’t have one, is that a problem? My case is already well cooled, it has plenty of fans.
