I’m planning to build my gaming setup in the future. I’m making an Excel list of everything I’ll need and I’ve reached the point where I just need to decide which processor I’m going to use. For multitasking, I’ve always heard great things about Ryzen, especially in terms of single‑thread frequency. To be honest, I don’t really understand this stuff very well. I’ve been watching a lot of videos and reviews, and it seems like most people agree that it’s better to go with AMD anyway.
I’m focusing on cost–benefit. But it also has to be something that will last over time, doesn’t run too hot, and doesn’t give me too many problems. That’s why I’ve been looking more at the X3D CPU models. Mainly CPUs like the AMD Ryzen 5700X3D, because it’s cheap and I’m planning to start with a used setup for now, so it’ll be AM4. Otherwise, I’ve also seen great comments about the 5600X.
What would you recommend that’s in the same price range as those two?
I’m also open to Intel recommendations. I’ll check and look for reviews of everything. I’m not in a hurry and I like to really study everything I buy.
