When DLSS 4 came out, the criticism had already started: that it broke gamer immersion, that it wasn’t cool to use AI in games, and who knows what else. Now that DLSS 5 is here, everyone’s talking about how great it is. It changed overnight. They’ve even made mods so it can run on PlayStation, AMD cards, and so on.
The only thing that makes me sad is not being able to try it in my humble games, because even though I have an AMD card, it’s not as recent as it would need to be. I “only” have an RX 6800 XT, and I don’t plan on replacing it anytime soon because it still runs everything I want. Anyway, congrats to everyone with a recent AMD or Nvidia card. You really do seem to be having proper fun. My dream is to play Resident Evil Requiem with this DLSS 5 turned on.
