Yeah folks. It looks like it’s the end of the Brazilian forum community. Especially the gaming one. They’re going down one by one. This time it was players.com.br, a very, very old Brazilian gaming forum.
From the looks of it, Reddit and Facebook really won this game.
Right now, the only gamer forums we have left are Outerspace, Adrenaline, and IGN. IGN being an American forum that took in the famous “vale tudo” (“anything goes”) section we had on the late UOL Jogos forum.
It’s also worth remembering that for this new generation of young gamers, internet forums seem outdated. Most prefer Discord and Reddit. Many don’t even know what a forum is.
So that’s it. In 2024, we say goodbye to yet another forum. The world moves on, and that’s how it is.
