I recently changed my CPU. I went from the 5500 to the 5800X to give my newer GPU a bit more help, since I was getting some light stuttering from time to time.
This got a lot better with the 5800X. The stutters are gone. However, I’ve seen a lot of people on the internet complaining about its temperature. I ran some tests and, in very demanding games, playing hard for hours, the maximum I managed to reach was 85 degrees on the CPU. That still seems like a safe temperature to me, especially because processors are made to run hot, like a car – if it’s too cold, you also have problems.
Even so, I’d like to know if anyone has done underclocking and noticed anything in terms of performance? I was thinking of putting it in eco mode in Ryzen Master. Especially because I don’t need that much performance, since I don’t stream and I don’t use heavy software for video editing, 3D modeling, etc.
