Hey
I bought an Acer Nitro 5 to play some games sitting on my couch, but it’s been hard, man.
If I run GTA V or a CoD, the temperature goes over 90 degrees in less than 1 hour of gameplay.
It’s also impossible to keep the laptop resting on my legs.
Is the fact that it heats up so much a defect? What can I do?

Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do. Gaming laptops are like that. There’s no way to get the heat out of that tiny space.
Ideally, you’d buy a dedicated cooler, one of those table-style ones, with one central fan and two more on each side.
What are your PC specs? How much FPS are you getting in GTA?
I have one too and I’m thinking of selling it to buy a desktop. Much more comfort in several ways.
I’ve had a gaming laptop before. It wasn’t the Nitro 5, but it had the same problem too. I solved it with extra cooling, as people have already mentioned here.
