Programming and games

Heyyy,

I’ve been doing nothing for a while and I have looooots of free time. Like, I’ve already finished my studies and I want to avoid getting a crappy job. I don’t want to have to earn 1300 reais a month and still not even be able to pay rent.

I’m at a stage where I really don’t know what to do. I’m passionate about games and at the same time I love computers and technology.

My boyfriend always tells me to learn Lua because it’s one of the simplest programming languages that exists, according to him, and that it’s a green-and-yellow :brazil: language.

Honestly I still haven’t decided. I know that Lua is used in games like Roblox, FiveM, etc. But can you really put daily bread on the table with just that?

Can someone who has never done even one year of college really understand a programming language that easily?

If I can earn something from home, even if it’s “only” knowledge, I would really be very grateful.
