We use Windows 10 here at home and like it a lot. I think it looks really nice. I did some research on Windows 11 and we didn’t see any really noticeable differences. Visually, it even looks like the same system.
I was thinking about maybe switching; I already have a Windows 10 license, so the upgrade would be free. And it’s always good to have something more up to date, with more security updates. What was holding me back a bit was the fact that you have to use a Microsoft account to be able to log in. But I guess there must be ways to get around that.
Another thing I was interested in was taking advantage of the optimizations for PC gamers. I couldn’t find many of them in Windows 11 though, for example: disabling “Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling”.
Do you think it’s worth doing this upgrade?
